Special Featuers
City Map: The city map allows you to view a specific area / dungeon and carry out all possible actions available in your current area.

Use the City Map to access buildings, talk to NPCs, and find chests and other items of interest. The City Map can also be used to travel to neighbouring destinations.

Directions: Click on Start Adventure! -> City Map / Travel

Most of the buildings and links are self-explanatory. Just hover your mouse over a building, destination or object of interest and you should see a small text box displaying the relevant information. In the above screenshot, a yellow header text box is displaying information about a building called Local Vault when the mouse is hovered over it.

Zone Statistics Tab: This little table can be seen at the top-left of the City Map screen just under the zone image. This table contains essential information about the zone.

Population: Quite simply this is the number of people that occupy the current zone.

Major Race: This is the most common race in the current zone. Special bonuses are given to Adventurer's whose race is the same as a zone's Major Race.

Region: The region that the zone lies in. There are many different regions in Zhentor, for more information, please refer to the Area Map.

Economic Stability: The economic stability of a zone determines the price inflation of goods on the market. The heigher the economic stability, the lesser the price inflation. Higher economic stability also leads to higher stock of items in shops in the given area.

Element: The Major Element of the zone. Zhentonians whose Element is the same as the zone's element inherit special bonuses.

Specialization: This is the measure of the zone's most productive service.

Coordinates: The (x, y) coordinates determine the position of the zone on a 2D map.

Current Effects Tab: This little table contains vital information about effects on your character and village (if you have one setup in the area) depending on the current zone.

Spell Effectiveness: This shows the effectiveness of your spells and changes depending on the time of day. Certain races are more efficient at spellcasting at night than at day and vice versa.

Combat Effectiveness: This shows the effectiveness of your Melee Battle skills. This varies from class to class, and changes according to the weather.

[Kingdom] Attack Mod: Displays the attack modifier of your village in that zone at the particular time of day.

[Kingdom] Defence Mod: Displays the defence modifier of your village in that zone at the particular time of day.

World Map: The World Map can prove very useful when traveling from one zone to another especially when you don't know the exact route!

Viewing the World Map: In the City Map screen, look for a section labelled Cartography and click on the mini world-map image.

Use the World Map to see the locations of certain zones and plan your expeditions.

Navigation & Travel: You can travel to a number of destinations from your current location using the Navigation Compass which can be found beside the City Map .

Hover your mouse over a direction (N, S, E, W, NE, NW, SE, SW) to see whether there is a destination set for travel in that direction.

The compass is self explanatory and if a destination is set in a direction, it will display the name of the destination, the cost to travel there, and the distance from your current destination on the mouse hover.

Travelling

Travelling usually requires energy and denars. At an approximation, it takes about 1 point of energy to travel a distance of 1.5 herals. However, with the current implementation, if a set expedition requires more energy than you currently have, you will still be allowed to reach your target destination, but your character will be exhausted (i.e. 0 energy) and will need some rest before it can travel again. This feature can only be used once every 10 minutes, and once used, you will not be able to travel to a destination if your energy is less than the energy required to reach the destination.

Note: A third of your energy replenishes every minute.

Adventuring is the main part of the game. Travel to new destinations to continue your quest for glory and find new items, quests, features and unlock extra bonuses. The world of Zhentor continues to grow at an ever-expanding rate so you are always sure to find new and prized lands! Note that travelling requires energy.

Zone Buildings: When using the City Map, you will discover a variety of buildings. The styles for the individual buildings may vary from zone to zone, but their functions will remain constant. Some of the common buildings are listed and explained below. It is highly unlikely for any given zone to have access to all of the buildings, so you might have to travel around to find the particular building for your needs.

Image Building Explanation
NA City Center

The City Center is a very important building in any given area. The City Center allows access to shops and the Blackmarket where many bargains can be made.

Use: Visit the City Center to view, buy & sell items from Public Shops (ran by NPCs)& The Blackmarket (ran by individual Zhentonians).

Warehouse

You can buy your own personal warehouse in most zones for a set daily fee. A personal warehouse allows you to store important and valuable items and prevent the risk of having them stolen fom your inventory by other Zhentonians or even creatures in battle.

Use: Store valuable items in your warehouse or simply free up space in your inventory, since you have a limit as to how much items you can hold in your inventory.

Personal Store

You can setup a stall at anytime anywhere you like. To open a store, simply find the City Centre building using the City Map, and click on "Create a shop" from the top bar.

A personal shop is a great way to get rid of unwanted items and make some money in return as well, or you can simply showcase your spoils from your adventures and make a healthy profit. Your stall "travels" with you, so whichever zone you are in, that's where your stall will appear.

Private Apartment

Private Apartments usually come in the form of huts and tents and usually house a NPC. NPCs can give you important information regarding your travels, give you quests to complete and even offer you specific training relating to weapons, magic and general skills.

It is a good idea to search around and visit all of these buildings. You might miss out on important information or rewards if you ignore to do so!

Job Seeker (coming soon)

The Job Seeker is a Government building that lists daily jobs for all Zhentonians. The Job details and rewards can be accessed at your local Job Seeker.

Use: Visit the Job Seeker to find jobs and start earning some basic income. Certain jobs also have rewards and missions so pick a job that suits you best.

Vault

The Vault, or a Bank as it is more commonly known as, is a government ran building that stores valuables.

Use: Visit the Vault to store & withdraw Denars and buy & sell Shares.

Courthouse

The Courthouse, or Jail, is a government building where sentences are given out and punishment served to criminals.

Use: Visit the Courthouse to bail a friend by paying the release fee or voting. If you are currently serving a prison sentence then you may free yourself by paying a fine.

Temple

The Temple is a holy place for worship and inner reflection.

Use: Visit the temple to recover health and mana points, or to resurrect your physical form if you are dead. The only hard thing is finding the temple in the first place...

Training Grounds

Also known as Barracks, Training Grounds offer services in the areas of body improvement.

Use: Visit this building to upgrade your characteristics and skills with Spirit Points (acquired primarily through winning Melee Battles), and to see whether you can promote your class to the next available level.

Mines

The mines allow you to dig up valuable gemstrones that are useful in a variety of tasks. Gemstones are commonly used in stonecutting to change their shape, and required in crafting recipes for certain bonuses.

Use: Visit the mines/caves to Mine for gemstones

Battle Arena

Melee Combat takes place at the battle tower. Battle towers are mostly found in underground dungeons in major cities, and the monsters you fight and their level depends on the zone itself.

Use: Visit the Battle Arena to fight Melee Battles and develop your character.

Battle Tower

The Battle Tower is a global place where all Zhentonians can gather around and duel each other. However, this service is only available in certain zones.

Use: Visit this building to challenge fellow duelists. Duelling increases your ranking in the Duelist Ranking System and gives you more reputation.

Blacksmith

The Blacksmith is a building of Dwarven excellence. It is used to craft weapons and items which are mostly forged out of metal.

Use: By visiting this building, and having the Forge skill at Novice skill degree or higher, you can attempt to craft items, either by using learnt recipes or by trial and error.

Tavern (Not yet available)

The Tavern looks after your daily needs and offers you an opportunity to quench your thirst and hunger. Taverns also allow players to carry out Card Duels (a TCG in development).

Use: Vsit the tavern to rest and heal before you resume your adventures.

Not all of the above mentioned buildings are available in each and every zone.
