Infiltrators: Infiltrators are used to gain inside knowledge of your enemy’s troops, buildings and other important information which might be required for planning an offensive move. There are various grades of infiltration units, each with varying success rates and upkeep costs.
Type of units: There are 2 types of infiltration units in Zhentor, as described below.

Infiltrators
Infiltrators are used to spy on enemy villages and gather important information which can later be used to plan an invasion, or to carry out further destructive spy operations.

Agents
Agents stop infiltrators from carrying out successfull operations. Agents, given high enough coverage, can also stop and interrogate enemy spies to locate the whereabouts of their origin, before proceeding to execute them. Thus, agents are quite a useful tool to deploy in order to protect your lands from intel related or other harmful spy operations.
A village can have as much agents as equal to 1% of the total land in the village. This is the maximum number of agents a village can hire, and would result in a 95% agent coverage (which can be viewed from the infiltrators sheet - Military Actions -> Infiltrators).
Hiring Units: Infiltrators are quite easy to hire. They require no soldiers or other workers to be employed and trained, rather they can be hired directly.
Direction: Kingdom Menu -> Military Actions -> Infiltrators
To hire infiltration units, simply enter an amount in the text box provided under the Adjust column, and click on Set Infiltrators at the bottom of the sheet or hit ENTER on your keyboard.
Choose carefully when hiring infiltrators, for you will have to pay their upkeep every turn.
Training & Upkeep: Initially, when you hire infiltration units, they start at 1.0% fitness. At each end turn, your infiltrators will increase their fitness. The amount of fitness gained at each turn depends on the Training Modifier of the infiltrator unit, with higher training modifiers leading to longer training times. The more fit a unit is, the more times it can be sent to infiltrate.
The amount of upkeep required per infiltrator is displayed in the Upkeep / Turn column. The total upkeep for the respective infiltrator is displayed under the Total Upkeep column. The total upkeep for all the hired infiltration units can be seen at the bottom of the sheet.
If you cannot pay the upkeep, you will NOT be able to end a turn.
Tip: Units below 20.1% fitness cannot be used in infiltrations!
Step 1: Click on the Open Command Centre button as shown above. This will allow you to carry out an infiltration. The command centre should appear at the bottom of the sheet.
Step 2: Select the infiltration unit you wish to carry out the mission with, enter how many you wish to send, choose a spy mission, enter the target village's name and click on Execute Mission
Result: You will now be shown a report at the bottom of the sheet detailing the result of the infiltration.
Chance of success: - The success of an infiltration depends on the following factors:
The success rate of the mission carried out. Visit this page to view detailed information about each spy op.
The success rate of the infiltration unit sent. See individual stats of infiltration units from the list below.
The Agent coverage of your enemy village. The higher the agent coverage of your opposition, the less the chance of success, and the greater the chance of capture.
Failing an infiltration: - If you fail to carry out an infiltration successfully, there is a chance that the enemy village can capture and torture your spies. In such a case, it is possible for the enemy village to find out where the spies came from. Additionally, depending on the enemy village's agent coverage, your spies can be captured and killed as well.
Fitness Loss: - Everytime you infiltrate, your units will loose fitness. The amount of fitness you loose depends on how much units out of the total group are being sent. E.g. you have 15 Nemul spies hire. If you send in all 15, you will loose a lot of fitness. However, if you send in 1 Nemul spy, you will loose considerably less fitness.
So why send in more than 1 unit? Well, some missions are more efficient and productive if more units are sent. Ultimately, it is up to you to decide how much units you wish to dedicate to an infiltration, remembering that the greather the number of units sent, the greater the chance of capture of 1 or more infiltration units.
